Richard AbramsRichard Abrams, General Manager
A veteran of the educational software industry for over 25 years, Rick has guided the growth of Tom Snyder Productions from a start-up company into one of the leading educational software publishers in the K-12 market. He is a member of the Education Section board of the Software & Information Industry Association. He is an active board member of Educators for Social Responsibility and The Concord Consortium. He is also a corporation member of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Corporation. Rick graduated from Colby College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He and his wife Susan have three children and live in Lexington, Massachusetts.

John CarrollJohn Carroll, Vice President of Marketing
John brings an expansive knowledge of marketing to the team - from strategy to communications. He came to Tom Snyder Productions in 2002 from Riverdeep Interactive where he was Director of Product Marketing. Prior to Riverdeep, John was Vice President of Marketing at DigitalGoods, Roxy.com, and Citigroup. His experience in developing cross-sell programs, customer acquisition, customer retention, and new product development is a valuable asset to the company, in particular with Tom Snyder Productions' initiative to fully leverage cross-marketing opportunities within the Scholastic organization. John holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from Northeastern University, and a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University. He lives with his wife Carol and their two children in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

David Dockterman, Ed.D.David Dockterman, Ed.D., Vice President and Chief Academic Officer
David brings a multitude of perspectives - as a teacher, parent, school committee member, and veteran in the educational technology field - to his insights about teachers and technology. A former social studies teacher, David joined Tom Snyder Productions in 1982 while earning his Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has designed several award-winning products including Science Court; Decisions, Decisions; and The Great Ocean Rescue. David is also a Lecturer on Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. David, his wife Gabrielle, and son live in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

Arlene HawkinsArlene Hawkins, Director of Finance and Administration
Arlene's experience covers over 35 years of financial and human resource administration. She joined Tom Snyder Productions in 1984 with a strong background in planning, implementing, and using accounting systems to meet the financial needs of rapidly growing companies in manufacturing and educational software. Arlene has a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She lives in Andover, Massachusetts, with her husband Michael and son.

Liza WealeLiza (Debus) Weale, Director of Product Management
Bringing her passion for education and her experience in strategy and technology, Liza joined Tom Snyder Productions in 2005 to manage and market the company's math products.  Prior to Tom Snyder Productions, Liza spent three years at Bain & Company, a management consulting firm, where she worked with clients in industries ranging from educational publishing, healthcare, and consumer products.  Liza also has experience in designing and supporting technology solutions from her time at American Management Systems.  Liza received her M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management and graduated from Lafayette College summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Brian McKeanBrian McKean, Director of National Sales
Brian's experience in educational publishing ranges from sales editorial and business development. He joined Tom Snyder Productions in 2002 where he has led the sales team in achieving consistent growth. Throughout a nearly 20-year career with the National Geographic Society, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Jones & Bartlett Publishers, Digital Goods and ProQuest his efforts have focused on launching innovative technology solutions for the education market. He is a member of the Educational Sales Association of New England. Brian earned his MBA from Northeastern University, an MA from Syracuse University and earned a BA from the University of Illinois with highest distinction. He and his wife Cecilia have three children and a beloved dog and live in Stow, Massachusetts.

Christine SandvikChristine Sandvik, Director of Product Planning
Christine's extensive experience in video, multimedia and software production provide the background needed to manage the daily operations of the product development team. She joined Tom Snyder Productions in 2005 and immediately helped launch FASTT Math. Prior to joining Tom Snyder Productions she was the Director of Technical Projects at Riverdeep Interactive managing the development of the school products and web site. She spent many years as a web and video producer for cable internet services and television. Christine earned a M.Ed. from Boston University and a B.S. from Cornell University. She and her husband Scott, a music educator, have a son and live in Belmont, Massachusetts.
