Over the course of the trial, students will learn:
- That every object is made up of tiny particles
- What condition might cause the particles in an object to move further apart
- What condition might cause the particles in an object to move closer together
- That different kinds of atoms combine to make different things
- How to set up experiments to:
- demonstrate that solid objects are made up of smaller particles
- observe how heat makes those particles move faster and further apart
- compare how different materials behave when heated
- How to work as a team by:
- becoming members of an interdependent group
- listening and talking with others
- sharing a common goal
